Gabriella PAPADAKIS /
Gabriella Papadakis/Guillaume Cizeron chose music from “Fame” for their Rhythm Dance that included the Finnstep Pattern Dance. Romain Haguenauer and Sam Chouinard created the choreography.
“In fact, this program is very different from what we usually do. We knew that we were not taking the easiest route when choosing Fame as our theme for the Rhythm Dance,” Papadakis explained at the ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating - Internationaux de France. “We didn’t know Fame, as it is not our generation. But our coaches were so enthusiastic and showed us the videos and so we got excited about it as well. We thought it would be so much fun.
We are discovering a part of our personality that exists, but that we don’t show to the public too often” she continued. “When you google costumes from the 80s this is what you get,” commented Cizeron. “I think it takes some courage to go out on to the ice like that, but we love it. I think it is really funny and we can get into the character.” Biography

Evgenia MEDVEDEVA (RUS) |
|
Evgenia Medvedeva’s Free Skating to “Memoirs of a Geisha” was choreographed by Shae-Lynn Bourne and the music was Evgenia’s choice. “I went to America to mount the free skating for one week. It was about seven to eight hours work on the program per day, three (hours) with Shae-Lynn one-to-one and then I continued to work a lot individually on the floor and on the ice,” Evgenia said in an interview for the ISU. “I am incredibly happy with my choice of music, Muse and Memoirs of a Geisha, I wanted them for a very long time. Especially for Memoirs of a Geisha. For a long time I felt I was not grown up enough yet and couldn't bring across the character well enough. |
Kevin AYMOZ (FRA) |
|
Kevin Aymoz’ Short Program to “The Question of U” by Prince was choreographed by Silvia Fontana and John Zimmerman and also Aymoz had a lot of input himself. “John, Silvia and I really liked last year’s short program, it was very fun, explosive and said to ourselves that we needed to find a music that continues that and we wanted to keep that style in the short program, but we needed to use something stronger,” Kevin said at the ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating - Internationaux de France. |
