Madison Chock/Evan Bates (USA) claimed the silver medal and the bronze went to Canada’s Kaitlyn Weaver/ Andrew Poje. The French and U.S. ice dancers claimed their first World medals.
Yuzuru Hanyu of Japan captured the Men’s Short Program. Javier Fernandez of Spain came second and Kazakhstan’s Denis Ten follows in third.
Elizaveta Tuktamysheva of Russia skated to a strong lead in the Ladies Short Program followed by her teammate Elena Radionova. Japan’s Satoko Miyahara finished third.
Meagan Duhamel/Eric Radford of Canada skated to the gold medal and their first World title. China’s Wenjing Sui/Cong Han claimed the silver medal while the bronze went to their teammates Qing Pang/Jian Tong.
The ISU World Figure Skating Championships 2015 opened in Shanghai, China, on Wednesday with the Short Dance. 164 skaters/couples from 37 ISU Members have been entered for the Championship.
