Madison Hubbell/Zachary Donohue (USA) edged teammates Madison Chock/Evan Bates by just 0.19 points as the ISU Four Continents Championships opened Thursday in Seoul (KOR) with the Rhythm Dance. Canada’s Piper Gilles/Paul Poirier are not far behind in third place.
Following the ISU European Figure Skating Championships the focus now shifts this week to the ISU Four Continents Figure Skating Championships with many of the non-European top skaters competing in Seoul, Korea (February 4-9). Seoul has hosted the ISU Four Continents Figure Skating Championships once before in 2015.

Anna Shcherbakova claimed the silver and the bronze went to Alexandra Trusova. All three competed in their first senior-level ISU Championships.

Morisi Kvitelashvili earned the bronze, becoming the first Georgian man to win a medal at the European Figure Skating Championships.
