Initially launched in November 2019, the global digital campaign film was narrated by two-time World and seven-time European Figure Skating Champion Javier Fernández. Today, American Figure Skater Ashley Wagner, 2016 ISU World Figure Skating silver medalist and 2014 Olympic bronze Team medalist, joins the cause. She conveys a heartfelt message to encourage people to stay strong, support each other in creative and mindful ways and together, we will get #UpAgain, after facing one of the biggest challenges humankind has encountered in decades.
The ISU has undertaken many initiatives to inspire people to get #UpAgain during these hard times, including:
-
Streaming the 2018 and 2019 ISU World Championships from across all ISU disciplines to support the #StayHome movement
-
Sharing inspiring #UpAgain Stories from Canadian Ice Dance Piper Gilles, Norwegian Speed Skater Håvard Lorentzen with more to come in the near future.
-
Posting video recommendations of various activities from skaters to inspire fans to stay active and keep busy during the lockdown
-
Keep Training! a series of online classes provided by the ISU Centers of Excellence hosted by top coaches, choreographers and other Figure Skating professionals.
-
Supporting Open Ice - a show featuring Figure Skaters from around the World to raise funds for COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund by Streaming it live on April 25, 2020 at 14:00 EST on Skating ISU YouTube Channel
