The season has officially started with the first ISU Junior Grand Prix event in Bangkok, Thailand. While the juniors are now full into competition mode, the senior-level skaters have still have time to prepare.

Nicole Schott takes a break
Multiple German Champion Nicole Schott is taking a break and has withdrawn from their Grand Prix events as the German Skating Federation reported. She keeps her options open to return to competition later this season.

German test skates
Members of the National Figure Skating Team of Germany presented their new programs at the test skates in Oberstdorf. Especially the Pair Skaters Annika Hocke/Robert Kunkel and the new team of Minerva Hase/Nikita Volodin as well as Ice Dancers Jennifer Janse van Rensburg/Benjamin Steffan stood out.
Swings takes another World title
We're all counting down till the start of the Speed Skating season to see if Bart Swings (BEL) can work his magic again on the ice, but in the meantime he clinched yet another World title... on inline skates!
