ISU Crystal Globe Fact Sheet

30 Oct 2024

The prestigious Crystal Globes were introduced in 2022/23 to honor the top-performing male and female skaters each season. This trophy quickly became a coveted award, symbolizing excellence in the sport.

For the 2024/25 season, the competition format of the ISU Short Track World Tour was updated, reducing the schedule to three individual races for women and men per weekend, each carrying modified points values.

To foster a stronger team dynamic, the ISU has introduced the Team Crystal Globe, ensuring that all skaters—not just those vying for individual medals—play a crucial role in earning points for their teams.

As part of the ISU Short Track World Tour, the competition now features bold new team identities and uniforms, enhancing the sport’s team-focused atmosphere and visual appeal.
