ISU President Jae Youl Kim attends 2024 Asian Open Short Track Speed Skating Trophy opening ceremony
The 2024 Asian Open Short Track Speed Skating Trophy is currently underway in Jakarta, running from August 21 to 23. The event has drawn over 160 skaters from 12 countries, showcasing the best of Short Track Speed Skating in the region.

Participants in the event include athletes from Australia, Chinese Taipei, Hong Kong/China, India, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, Mongolia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam.
The event, which is supported by the ISU Development program, was further elevated by the presence of International Skating Union (ISU) President Jae Youl Kim, who attended the Opening Ceremony yesterday.
The host nation, Indonesia, has a strong representation of skaters, all eager to make their mark on home ice.
