The Short Track Skating season came to a climatic end at the KB Financial Group ISU World Short Track Championships 2023 in Seoul, South Korea, where newly crowned Crystal Globe Trophy winner Park Ji Won skated to two golds on home ice. In addition to Park's achievements, four-time gold medalist Xandra Velzeboer from Netherlands as well as Suzanne Schulting (NED), Pietro Sighel from Italy and Lin Xiaojun from China also lit up the venue, which was full of excited and emotional fans.
Xandra Velzeboer (NED) pulled off a massive upset to win the World title in the Women’s 1000m on the final day of action at the KB Financial Group ISU World Short Track Speed Skating Championships 2023, going on to add two more golds in the relays to bring her World title tally for the weekend to four.
